Specifications, Features, and Benefits

  • Surface of mirror is torus surface and there are two curvatures.

  • It has all in one function with three optical components such as lens, mirror, and lens.

  • No color aberration.

  • It is possible to visible the condensing point by the visible rays, and this makes the applied range from ultraviolet rays to infrared rays expand remarkably.

  • It is possible that the light from the first focal point collects lights from the second focal point.

  • Very capable in a spectrometric measuring and a measurement with an optical fiber.

Comparison with the conventional optical system

When condensing the light from the 1st focus to the 2nd focus, we were conventionally required these three optical components of the incidence lens L1, the 90-degree bending mirror M1, and a condenser L2. And also, a chromatic aberration was occurred because of a spherical optical lens.
In the case of a toroidal mirror, because of the catoptric system, a chromatic aberration is zero and ultraviolet rays, visible rays, and also infrared rays are condensed the light into the same condensing point.
